Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, on the occasion of sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of Amir al-Mu’minin Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour:

"My relationship and friendship with Shaheed Mansour started a long time ago and it became stronger during the Jihad. When Shaheed Mansour was the Amir al-Mu'minin, the jihad of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reached its climax and the mujahideen became even stronger and united. The current system (Nezam) of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is achieved as a result of the sacrifices of Shaheed Mansour, Ustad Yasir, and others like them. We will appreciate their blood to the best of our ability. The leaders of the Emirate will never forget the blood of Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahid, Shaheed Mansour and other martyrs, nor will they forget their Mujahideen. Very pure blood has been shed for this system (Nezam). May Allah help us to nurture our orphans and the blood of martyrs, and we will always strive for it.

All Islamic Emirate leaders should have compassion on their young mujahideen, and the young mujahideen should obey the orders of their leaders."
