Environmental Protection Agency's Laboratory Services Management Plan Deemed Approvable
A regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held on July 6, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace.
During the meeting, the Laboratory Services Management Plan of the Environmental Protection Agency was presented for discussion. Following detailed deliberations and a comprehensive evaluation, the plan was deemed eligible for approval.
The objective of the plan is to establish and operationalize a centralized, fully equipped, and standardized laboratory for testing air quality, soil, water, and noise levels. The laboratory will provide services not only to government institutions but also to the private sector, international organizations, and universities.
The meeting also discussed several internal standards proposed by the Standards and Quality Authority, as well as measures to increase the export of Afghan carpets to international markets.
