The Policy for the Construction of Liquid Gas Facilities and the Revenue Policy for the Mining Sector have been approved.

The regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held at Marmarin Palace. In accordance with the agenda, discussions were held on the policy for the construction of liquid gas facilities, the draft revenue policy for the mining sector, and several other related matters.

After a comprehensive evaluation, the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission approved the proposed amendments to the policy for the construction of liquid gas facilities, and it has been referred to the Economic Commission for final approval. According to this policy, all public and private companies involved in liquid gas distribution will be required to relocate their gas storage facilities away from urban areas and densely populated locations and to construct new facilities in compliance with the established standards outlined in this policy.

Furthermore, the draft revenue policy for the mining sector, proposed by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, was also discussed. After detailed deliberations, the draft policy was approved and has been forwarded to the Economic Commission for endorsement.
