The First Deputy Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, met with officials of the Afghan Chamber of Industry and Mines. Mr. Mullah Sahib called the role of the private sector important in strengthening the country's economy and reducing the level of unemployment and added, "The private sector in 5,000 factories has provided employment for about one and a half million people.

The IEA appreciates their work." At this meeting, Shirbaz Kaminzadah, the head of the Chamber of Industry and Mines, said: "Lack of permanent land, electricity outages, taking money from banks, and lack of suitable foreign market for private sector products are our main problems."

In the end, Mr. Mullah Sahib instructed the relevant departments of the IEA to work together with the private sector to solve these problems.
