National Procurement Commission Approves Six Projects Worth 3.3 Billion Afghanis

The regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission was held today, November 9, 2025, under the chairmanship of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs. A total of 18 projects were presented to the meeting for approval.

Following comprehensive discussions, six projects with a total value of 3 billion and 321 million Afghanis were approved, while six other projects underwent a series of modifications.

Additionally, committees assigned for four projects were instructed to hold negotiations with the winning companies regarding the project prices and to submit their reports to the leadership of the National Procurement Commission.

Similarly, one project was returned for re-bidding, and another project was referred to the relevant authority with instructions to re-evaluate its procurement process and submit the findings to the leadership of the National Procurement Commission.

The approved projects include the construction of the water storage dam in Qadis Khordak District of Badghis Province, the road connecting Bagram and Koh Safi Districts in Parwan Province, the electricity transmission to Qosh Tepa and Darzab Districts in Jawzjan Province, as well as the completion of remaining works in electricity supply and distribution projects across various provinces.

The approved projects are funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
