The regular meeting of the Economic Commission convened at Marmarin Palace, under the leadership of Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund. Following a comprehensive discussion, the meeting endorsed the protocol established by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum for safeguarding mining operations. Furthermore, the Ministry of Mines was tasked with convening a meeting with the Afghan Public Protection Force to address outstanding concerns. Subsequently, the Afghan Public Protection Force will bolster and streamline its unit responsible for safeguarding mining activities across the country, thus curtailing unlawful and arbitrary mining practices. Furthermore, it was decreed that the report jointly formulated by the Ministry of Water and Energy and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, aimed at supplying electricity to the Uruzgan province, shall be forwarded to the office of the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for their guidance and subsequent action. In the same meeting, a committee comprising representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the State-Owned Company of ARZAQ, and Kabul Municipality was entrusted with the responsibility of devising a comprehensive urban-oriented plan for the fruit and vegetable market located in the Company area of Kabul city's fifth district. This plan will be presented for approval at the upcoming Economic Commission meeting. To conclude the session, a collaborative committee, comprising members from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Ministries of Public Works, Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Housing and Urban Development, alongside the National Development Corporation and the National Standards Authority, was assigned the duty of reevaluating the quality standards of Ghori and Jabal-e-Siraj cement products. Their findings will be submitted to the Economic Commission within a five-week timeframe for a final determination.
