Industrial Park Land Prices Set Based on Provincial Categories

The regular meeting of the Economic Commission, chaired by the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, was held today (Tuesday), October 13, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace.
At the meeting, the report of the designated committee on setting land prices in industrial parks based on provincial categories was presented and approved. According to the report, the price per square metre of land in industrial parks was set at AFN 150 for first-category provinces, AFN 100 for second-category provinces, and AFN 50 for third-category provinces.
Furthermore, the report of the Tariff Committee for the last six months of Solar Hijri 1404 was presented to and approved by the Economic Commission. According to the report, after assessing the situation of domestic markets during the final six months of 1404, the Tariff Committee gradually increased tariffs on imported goods that can be produced domestically to meet the needs of domestic markets.
The Economic Commission commended the activities of the Tariff Committee in support of domestic production, strengthening industry, and advancing self-sufficiency. It decided that the Committee for Price Control in Markets should also fulfil its responsibilities diligently and regularly submit reports to the Economic Commission through the Tariff Committee.
At the conclusion of the meeting, reports on several follow-up matters were also presented, and the relevant authorities were given the necessary instructions.
The above decisions were forwarded to the Office of Esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him) for final approval.
