36 Standards and 30 Testing Methods Deemed Eligible for Approval

The regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held on August 17, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace. During the meeting, a number of standards and testing methods were presented by the Standards and Quality Authority for discussion. Following deliberations, 36 standards and 30 testing methods were deemed eligible for approval. These standards relate to food products, medicines, construction materials, agricultural products, petroleum products, environmental protection, mining, telecommunications, and electrical equipment.
The meeting also discussed solutions to the electricity problems faced by a number of factories operating in the industrial parks of Kabul, Nangarhar, and Kandahar provinces.
