Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, visited Balkh today to observe the Qosh Tepa Canal's recent developments.

Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund closely observed the works of the Qosh Tepa Canal Project, praised the work progress and efforts of those in charge of the project, and gave them the necessary recommendations to improve the work.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of people have been directly and indirectly employed since the beginning of this project. With the construction of this canal, around 550 thousand hectares of land will be irrigated, and Afghanistan will become self-sufficient in terms of wheat.
