On December 17th, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, inaugurated the completion of several projects at Kabul International Airport. The ceremony, attended by Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, Acting Minister of Transport and Aviation, airport officials, representatives from the private sector, and national businessmen and investors, marked a significant step in rebuilding the country's infrastructure. Addressing the gathering, Mullah Baradar Akhund acknowledged the challenges faced by Afghanistan's infrastructure over the past 40 years due to wars and conflicts. He emphasized the Islamic Emirate's commitment to restoring various sectors, citing their activities as examples of positive progress. Mullah Baradar Akhund urged all Afghans, particularly national businessmen and investors, to actively contribute to the country's reconstruction based on their capabilities. He highlighted the responsibility of Afghans to capitalize on investment opportunities aligned with national priorities. Emphasizing the pivotal role of security in a nation's development, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the established overall security in Afghanistan, creating favorable conditions for investment across diverse fields. He called upon Afghan investors residing abroad to return and collaborate in the reconstruction efforts. Mullah Baradar Akhund pledged unwavering support to investors, national businessmen, and industrialists from the Islamic Emirate. He urged Emirate institutions to prioritize the safety and well-being of national businessmen and investors while promptly addressing their concerns. Notably, numerous medium and small projects, valued in the tens of millions of Afghanis, were successfully completed and operationalized by the private sector at Kabul International Airport on the same day.
