Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, inaugurated the Kabul International Exhibition as part of Industry Week celebrations. In his speech at the ceremony, Honorable Mullah Baradar Akhund emphasized that industry and production are the backbone of the country's economic growth. He pointed out that a country can only develop when it has a strong industry that not only meets domestic demand but also exports its products to the world. Afghanistan has faced unfortunate long wars and lack of commitment and unwillingness from the rulers, hindering its economic growth. However, with the reestablishment of the Islamic Emirate, basic steps have been taken for the economic growth of the country. Mullah Baradar Akhund noted that electricity is crucial for industry and production, and assured the citizens, particularly industrialists, that sufficient domestically produced electricity will soon be available. During the ceremony, the DPMEA announced that the Islamic Emirate would support anyone who invests in the industry and guarantees the quality and quantity of their products. The Islamic Emirate will prevent the supply of these products from abroad and increase tariffs to the extent of self-sufficiency to encourage marketing. Mullah Baradar Akhund called on Afghan investors living abroad to return and take an active role in the recovery of the country's economy and industry. He assured them that the Islamic Emirate stands by all industrialists and will provide support. In conclusion, Mullah Baradar Akhund expressed his gratitude to all industrialists who invested in the country's economic growth and development of the industry. The Kabul International Exhibition was organized to promote domestic products and support national investors. It aimed to establish relationships between traders and introduce domestic products to citizens. The exhibition featured 550 manufacturing factories in 55 different areas exhibiting their products.
