The meeting of the Economic Commission, chaired by  Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, was held at the Marmarin Palace. According to the agenda of the meeting, several topics were first discussed, including the issue of a piece of land ownership near Sara-e-Shahzada and the construction of a commercial center there. After comprehensive discussions, it was decided that the construction plan will be mapped out thoroughly and the results will be shared with the economic commission under the leadership of the acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and in the presence of representatives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Investment Facilitation Unit, professional engineers from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing and the  Municipality of Kabul. Subsequently, the report of a delegation sent to the provinces of Balkh and Samangan to look into the problems with coal and mining was listened to and approved unanimously. Following the discussion, the Economic Commission charged the related ministries and institutions with creating a workable plan for putting the recommendations of the report into practice and sharing the details of their progress. Additionally, it was decided to establish a joint committee of the provincial directorates of central ministries and institutions to oversee all mining-related matters in the provinces under the leadership of one of the Deputy Ministers of Mines and Petroleum. In the other part of the meeting, discussions were held on the plan for coal extraction and the contracts, and it was decided that considering the report of the joint delegation sent to Balkh and Samangan provinces, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum would review the plan, which it had already prepared, and then share it with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office. At the end of the meeting, the plan for the transfer of the antiquities from the Mes Aynak Mine was discussed by the Ministry of Information and Culture and necessary recommendations were given to the officials.
