Proposal for the Construction of a Commercial Market in Kabul's First District Deemed Approvable

The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on June 30, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace. During the meeting, the evaluation report on a proposal submitted by the private sector for the construction of a commercial market on land belonging to the Ministry of Finance in Kabul's First District was presented. Following the assessment, the proposal was deemed approvable.
Under the proposal, the private sector will invest approximately AFN 118 million to construct a six-story commercial market equipped with the necessary facilities.
The meeting also discussed proposals for the construction of commercial markets in Kabul's Fifth District and in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh Province. These proposals were referred to the relevant ministries for further assessment, with instructions to submit their findings and reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee.
