Committee Presents Report on the Assessment of Extraction from Qashqari Oil Block

The designated committee presented its report today—May 10, 2025—to the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, regarding the assessment of extraction operations in the Qashqari oil block.

This committee had been appointed by Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, under the directive of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Honorable Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund. The committee was tasked with evaluating the shortcomings of the contracting company in the implementation of the Qashqari oil block agreement.

The committee submitted its findings concerning the deficiencies of the contracting company and the existing issues in the project area. The Deputy PM instructed that the report be shared with the Prime Minister’s Office for further decision-making.
