Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund expresses condolences and solidarity with earthquake victims in Samangan Province

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, traveled today, November 5, 2025, to Samangan Province to express sympathy and solidarity with citizens affected by the recent earthquake.

During the visit, the Deputy PM prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives in the earthquake, extended condolences to the families of the martyrs, wished a swift recovery for the injured, and declared his full solidarity with the victims. He stated that the Islamic Emirate stands beside the people and assures that, within its available capacities, it will address the existing challenges related to the construction of shelters, reconstruction of homes, and other pressing needs.

The Deputy PM expressed gratitude to all charitable organizations, businesspeople, and citizens who have extended assistance to the earthquake victims during this difficult time. He once again called on all affluent citizens, traders, and international charitable organizations to provide support to the victims and affected families of this tragic incident.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund also carried cash assistance to Samangan Province, which will be distributed transparently by the provincial authorities to the affected citizens to help address challenges in rebuilding homes, constructing shelters, treating the injured, and other areas of need.
