Discussions Held on Solar Power Production and Other Economic Projects in Various Provinces

The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on December 3, 2024, at Marmarin Palace. According to the agenda, the private sector presented proposals for the production of solar power in Kapisa, Herat, and Kabul provinces, as well as for the installation of batteries to store solar energy in Kandahar province.

Additionally, proposals were put forward for establishing laboratories at ten key border ports of the country to control the quality of agricultural and food products, and for developing commercial nurseries for pistachio orchards and other fruit-bearing trees in Herat province.

After detailed discussions, specific committees were tasked with conducting technical and economic evaluations in collaboration with the proposing companies. These committees are required to submit their final reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee by the designated deadlines.
