Discussions Held on Proposals for Domestic Electricity Production of Hundreds of Megawatts

The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on October 22, 2024 at the Marmarin Palace. According to the agenda, the meeting discussed proposals for producing 50 megawatts of electricity from natural gas in Jawzjan province, 100 megawatts from coal in the Sarubi district of Kabul, electricity generation from solid waste in Kabul province, and several megawatts of wind power in Samangan province. Additionally, the meeting discussed the agricultural complex project and a proposal for constructing a cold storage facility with a capacity of 5,000 tons in Ghazni province.

Following a comprehensive evaluation of these proposals, specific committees were assigned the task of conducting technical discussions with the presenting companies and submitting their reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee on the designated dates.
