The proposals for the construction of two commercial markets in Kabul’s First District were approved
The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on July 7, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace. During the meeting, proposals for the construction of two commercial markets on land belonging to the Ministry of Finance in Kabul’s First District were presented for discussion. Following detailed deliberations and a comprehensive assessment, both proposals were approved.
Under the approved proposals, the Zahir Shahi Market will be constructed to modern standards in the Mandawi area of the First District as an eight-story commercial complex, with an investment of AFN 161 million. The project is expected to create permanent employment opportunities for dozens of citizens.
In addition, another five-story commercial market will also be constructed to modern standards in the First District, providing employment opportunities for a number of citizens.
