The Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee discussed proposals for commercial markets and a recreational, sports, and commercial complex in Kabul
The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on May 19, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace. In this meeting, reports submitted by the Office of Administrative Affairs regarding the conversion of the financial model for the construction of commercial markets on municipality land in the center of Taloqan city of Takhar province and in the center of Sar-e-Pul province—from a public-private partnership framework to an alternative Sharia-compliant contract—were reviewed and approved.
The meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee also included for discussion the proposal for the construction of a recreational, sports, and commercial complex on the Ministry of Defense’s land in the 5th district of Kabul city. After discussions, the proposal was referred to the Ministry of Defense so that, following a review of its financial, technical, and economic aspects, its report would be shared with the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee.
