The National Procurement Commission approved 19 projects at a total cost of approximately AFN 2.8 billion.

The regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, was held today, Thursday, April 30, 2025, at the Marmarin Palace. In accordance with the agenda, 26 projects were presented for approval.

Following deliberations, 19 projects with a total value of AFN 2.8 billion were approved, while a number of amendments were introduced to four projects. Additionally, a designated committee was tasked with reassessing the procurement process and cost of one project. Another designated committee was assigned to negotiate with qualified companies regarding the submitted bid prices for a separate project. Furthermore, one project was re-tendered through an open bidding process after the winning company withdrew from implementation at the agreed price. Due to this violation, the company was referred to the Debarment Committee.

The approved and amended projects include telecommunications equipment, road construction, electricity transmission and distribution, and several other sectors, all funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
