Today, September 23, 2025, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met with scholars and tribal elders of Farah Province in his office. During the meeting, the scholars and tribal elders of Farah shared the problems faced by the people of the province regarding water shortages, electricity, and transportation.

The Deputy PM instructed the responsible officials of the relevant ministries and agencies to address these issues within the limits of the available resources.

In the meeting, the concerned officials assured that in the near future, the practical works of the Bakhshabad earthen dam, as well as the road construction project from the provincial center of Farah to Farah Rud, will be initiated. They also pledged to make efforts to resolve the electricity problem either through imported electricity or by encouraging investment from the private sector in solar power generation.
