The proposal for the construction of a ten-story commercial market in Khost deemed approvable

The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on July 29, 2025 at the Marmarin Palace. In line with the agenda, the proposal for constructing a ten-story commercial market on Municipality land in Khost province was presented for discussion. Following a comprehensive evaluation, the proposal was deemed approvable and referred to the Economic Commission for final decision-making. According to the proposal, the private sector will invest 235 million Afghanis in the construction of the ten-story commercial market, which will create direct and indirect employment opportunities for hundreds of individuals.

In this meeting, proposals for electricity generation from coal in Baghlan province and the establishment of an agricultural complex (cold storage, processing, and packaging center) in Kabul/Logar were also presented for discussion. Committees were assigned to conduct thorough assessments of these proposals and present their reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee within the designated timeframe.
