May 22, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, traveled to Tehran to attend the funeral ceremony of the late President Ebrahim Raisi. During his visit, Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund will participate in the funeral, meet with Iranian government officials and the bereaved family, and extend condolences on behalf of the Afghan people. Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Mutaqi is accompanying Deputy PM Baradar Akhund on this trip.
