A meeting chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, discussed the proposal presented by Gulbahar Power Private Company for the production of 100 megawatts of gas power. This meeting, held on July 13, 2024 at Marmarin Palace, assigned a committee comprising representatives from the Ministry of Water and Energy, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, the Independent Directorate of State-Owned Corporations, and Gulbahar Power to conduct technical discussions on the proposal. The committee is tasked with submitting their report to the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs within the specified timeframe. It is worth noting that according to this proposal, Gulbahar Power Private Company will initially produce 100 megawatts of gas power, gradually increasing production to 700 megawatts.
