Priorities of the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs Shared with Donors and International Organizations

The third meeting on sharing the priorities of Afghanistan’s sectoral institutions was held today, September 30, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace, under the leadership of the Public Relations Directorate of the Office of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, with representatives of donors, international organizations, the United Nations, and development partners.
During the meeting, the priorities of the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs were shared with donors and international organizations.
These priorities focused on addressing the major needs of persons with disabilities across the country; establishing vocational and technical training centers for persons with disabilities and the heirs of martyrs; providing food security and clothing; constructing shelters; providing educational opportunities and scholarships; and equipping and improving the facilities and centers for persons with disabilities under the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs. These priorities were identified based on actual needs so that future assistance and development cooperation can, to the greatest extent possible, be organized and coordinated within the framework of these priorities.
Representatives of donor agencies and international organizations considered the sharing of the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs’ priorities highly important and stated that this would enable them to organize and implement their future activities in light of these priorities.
The sharing of the priorities of the sectoral institutions of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with donors and international organizations will help align the country’s priorities with available resources, assistance with actual needs, and development efforts with tangible outcomes.
