National Procurement Commission Approves Six Projects Worth AFN 828 Million

The regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission, chaired by the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, was held today, July 22, 2025, at the Marmarin Palace.

In accordance with the agenda, 28 projects were presented to the Commission for approval. Following deliberations, 19 projects were amended, six projects—valued at AFN 828 million—were approved, and one project contract was annulled.

Additionally, a designated committee was tasked with re-evaluating the procurement process of one project, and for another project, the assigned committee was instructed to conduct negotiations with the winning company regarding the project cost and submit their report to the leadership of the NPC.

The amended and approved projects include the construction of several internal roads in Kabul city and the completion of pending works of electricity supply and distribution projects in various provinces. The approved projects are funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
