During his visit to Baghlan Province, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, inspected the Baghlan Sugar Factory and Pol-e-Khomri Textile Factory. Mullah Baradar Akhund commended the successful repair of these factories' machinery and their operational restart, deeming it a notable achievement in the industrial sector. He provided essential recommendations to officials for enhancing productivity. Both the Baghlan Sugar Factory and Pol-e-Khomri Textile Factory underwent renovation and were equipped with modern machinery following the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate. The refurbishment of Pol-e-Khomri Textile Factory took one year and now has been offering its products for the last two months. The products include cloth, muslin, rope, and specialized fabric for the military clothing. It should be said that the factory has provided employment for around 400 individuals. The repair of Baghlan Sugar Factory has also concluded, with a current workforce of 100 people gearing up to introduce their products to the market shortly. Notably, the Baghlan Sugar Factory is poised to meet 30 percent of Afghanistan's sugar requirements, with expectations of further production increases in the near future.
